Regional Regulatory Decree no. 13/2026/M establishes the new regulatory framework for the systematic review of public expenditure in the regional administration.
With the goal of optimizing resource allocation and improving expenditure quality, the Regional Government has approved Regional Regulatory Decree no. 13/2026/M. The legislation establishes a continuous expenditure review process, applicable to all services and bodies of the regional public administration.

The process provides for the annual preparation of action plans with diagnostics, efficiency measures, and savings estimates. The savings generated may revert 50% to the responsible entity or regional secretariat, encouraging efficient management.
The Regional Government has determined the granting of a cash shortage allowance to senior technician Virgínia Patrícia Sousa Andrade, also defining the substitution regime.
The Regional Government of Madeira has updated the unit rates for the Tax on Petroleum and Energy Products, effective from June 22, 2026.
