Madeira Employment Institute reorganizes Board of Directors competencies
The Madeira Employment Institute has approved a new distribution of portfolios and delegation of powers to increase administrative efficiency.
The Board of Directors of the Madeira Employment Institute, IP-RAM (IEM), has approved Deliberation no. 10/2026, which redefines the distribution of portfolios and delegates competencies to its members. The objective is to harmonize management, eliminate bureaucratic redundancies, and streamline responses to citizens and companies.
The new portfolio structure is as follows:
- President (Pedro Miguel Abreu dos Santos Gouveia): Coordinates the Legal Support Division, Infrastructure and Technology Directorate, Secretariat and Operational Support Services, and the Image, Communication and Advisory Area.
- Board Member (Maria do Rosário de Oliveira Serra Alegra Baptista): Coordinates the Statistics, Planning and Communication Division, Employment Programs Directorate, and cross-cutting budgetary and financial management.
- Board Member (Maria Adelaide da Luz Drummond Borges Baptista Silva): Coordinates the Employment Center and the Administrative and Financial Directorate.
The deliberation establishes specific limits for expenditure authorization: up to €500,000 for the President, €100,000 for Board Member Maria do Rosário Alegra, and €20,000 for Board Member Adelaide Borges, within the scope of their respective current management areas.
