Open Competition for Five Operational Assistants in Madeira Social Security

Notice No. 377/2026 has been published in the Official Journal, opening a common competitive procedure to fill five positions at the Madeira Institute of Social Security, IP-RAM (ISSM, IP-RAM).

The open positions are for the career and category of Operational Assistant, with duties to be performed in the area of support for the elderly and support for people with disabilities. Selected candidates will be hired with a permanent public employment contract.

The competition was approved under the 2026 Consolidated Regional Recruitment Map and has the following main characteristics:

• Requirements: Portuguese nationality (where applicable), 18 years of age, compulsory schooling, adequate physical robustness and psychological profile, and compliance with mandatory vaccination laws.
• Workplace: Integrated establishments and facilities for the elderly and people with disabilities, under the direct management of ISSM, IP-RAM, located in several municipalities of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
• Application deadline: 10 working days, counted from the date of publication of the notice (August 11, 2026).
• Selection methods: Depending on the candidate's profile, a Knowledge Test (PC) and a Professional Selection Interview (EPS), or a Curriculum Assessment (AC) and an EPS may be applied.
• Legal preference: Preference is guaranteed, in case of equal classification, to a candidate with a disability, in accordance with the law.

Applications must be submitted on a specific form, available at the Personnel Section of ISSM, IP-RAM, or on the institute's website, and delivered in person or by registered mail.

The competition jury is chaired by Mara Figueira Nunes Goncalves, Director of the Santa Isabel Establishment.
