Regional Government changes payment rules for Porto Moniz Agricultural Fair prizes
New ordinance expands payment methods for prizes awarded to individual participants at the Porto Moniz Agricultural Fair.
Ordinance no. 232/2026, signed by the Regional Secretariats of Finance and Agriculture and Fisheries, introduces an amendment to the regulation for awarding prizes at the Porto Moniz Agricultural Fair, originally approved by Ordinance no. 359/2025.
The main change concerns article 6 of the single annex, now allowing the value of prizes awarded to participants who are non-business individuals to be paid directly to the winner, in addition to the existing possibility of payment through agricultural sector associations that represent them.
This measure, which enters into force the day after its publication, has retroactive effects to the date of entry into force of Ordinance no. 359/2025, aiming to provide greater flexibility and speed in the prize delivery process.
