Regional Government adjusts beekeeping support scheme under PEPAC
Amendments to Ordinance no. 162/2025 aim to mitigate operational constraints and clarify payment deadlines for beekeepers in Madeira.
Ordinance no. 233/2026, from the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries, implements the second amendment to the application regime for Intervention F.3.3 - Support for Beekeeping, integrated into PEPAC Portugal for the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
Given the operational constraints observed in the first year of implementation, which delayed the approval of applications and the submission of payment requests for 2025, the Regional Government has established new rules:
- Electronic submission: Payment requests must be submitted via an electronic form on the Agriculture Portal or the IFAP, I. P. portal.
- Deadlines: The annual submission period will be set and announced annually by IFAP, I. P., with the possibility of extension in exceptional cases.
- Transitional rule: For 2025 requests, IFAP, I. P. will define a specific submission period, detached from the original deadlines.
The regulation enters into force the day after its publication, with retroactive effects to the date of Ordinance no. 162/2025.
