Regional Government extends five collective bargaining agreements in Madeira
The Regional Government has published five extension ordinances that broaden working conditions in various sectors to employees not affiliated with the signatory trade unions.
The Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth has published five extension ordinances, aiming to standardize working conditions and protect workers in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The extensions cover the following instruments:
- Ordinance no. 27/2026: Extension of the company agreement between IHM - Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira, EPERAM and SINTAP - Union of Public Administration and Public Purpose Entities Workers.
- Ordinance no. 28/2026: Extension of the collective agreement between GROQUIFAR - Association of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Wholesalers and the Service Sector Workers Union - SITESE.
- Ordinance no. 29/2026: Extension of the collective agreement between Zurich Insurance Europe AG - Portugal Branch and another and the Insurance Activity Workers Union (STAS).
- Ordinance no. 30/2026: Extension of the collective agreement between the National Association of Dairy Industries (ANIL) and others and the Union of Professionals in Dairy, Food, Agriculture, Offices, Commerce, Services, Road Transport, Metalworking, Metallurgy, Civil Construction and Wood.
- Ordinance no. 31/2026: Extension of the company agreement between Portway - Handling de Portugal, SA and the Democratic Union of Airport and Aviation Workers - SINDAV and others.
These extensions aim to ensure that agreed salary and labor conditions are applied equitably to all workers in the sector, regardless of their union affiliation, promoting social justice and fair competition among employers.
