Three Collective Bargaining Agreements Published with New Salary Scales
The Official Journal publishes three collective bargaining agreements establishing new working conditions and minimum salary scales for the chemical industry, accounting, and electrical sectors.
Three collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) revising working conditions and, primarily, minimum salary scales for thousands of workers in various sectors have been transcribed in the Official Journal. The publication of these instruments is a necessary step for their application.
The published agreements are:
Collective agreement between APQuímica - Portuguese Association of Chemistry, Petrochemistry and Refining and others and the Federation of Industry, Energy and Transport Unions - COFESINT and others (Salary amendment and others). This CBA covers the chemical industries and applies to about 600 companies and 22,500 workers. It establishes new salary scales (with values ranging between €920 and €1,713.81 depending on the group and company turnover), updates the meal allowance to €6.47 and the allowance for breakdowns to €37.26. It takes effect from January 1, 2026.
Collective agreement between APECA - Portuguese Association of Accounting and Administration Companies and the Union of Workers in the Service Sector - SITESE (Salary amendment and others). It applies to accounting, taxation and administration companies, potentially covering 12,000 employers and 80,000 workers. It establishes a new salary scale (from €920 to €1,300), introduces the right to time off on one's birthday, and revises the rules for seniority bonuses. It is in force from June 1, 2026.
Collective agreement between the Portuguese Association of Electrical and Electronic Sector Companies and FE - Federation of Engineers and others – Rectification. This publication consists of the rectification of a table of minimum monthly remunerations published previously (in BTE No. 23/2026), correcting the listing of professional categories and their respective salaries, which range from €960 to €3,320. The meal allowance remains at €8.50 and the seniority bonus at €42.81.
