Three Education Staff Promoted Through Career Mobility
The Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology has authorized the career progression of three operational assistants to technical roles in three schools in the Region.
The Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (JORAM) published three notices formalizing the consolidation of inter-career mobility in the education sector. These decisions allow for the professional progression of non-teaching staff, promoting them to higher categories.
The promotions, authorized by orders from the regional directors, fall under Article 99-A of Law No. 35/2014 of June 20, as added by Article 270 of the State Budget Law for 2017 (Law No. 42/2016 of December 28).
The promoted staff and their respective conditions are as follows:
- Catarina Alexandra Nunes Rodrigues and Micaela José Silva Branco, both from the staff roster of Dr. Horácio Bento de Gouveia Basic School for 2nd and 3rd Cycles, move to the Technical Assistant career, administrative support area, with retroactive effect from September 1, 2025, placed in the 1st remuneration position and remuneration level 7 (via Notice No. 372/2026).
- Nicolau Clemente Nunes, from the staff roster of Caniçal Basic School with Preschool and Nursery, moves to the Technical Assistant career, administrative support area, effective July 15, 2026, placed in the 1st remuneration position and remuneration level 7 (via Notice No. 370/2026).

These mobility moves represent a recognition of the staff's experience and skills, allowing them to ascend to roles with greater responsibility and, consequently, an improvement in their remuneration situation.
