The Madeira Institute for Qualification has opened recruitment for a senior engineering officer at the Madeira Vocational Training Centre. Applications are open for 10 working days after the notice is published.
The Institute for Qualification, IP-RAM, has opened a recruitment procedure to fill a senior engineering officer position under a permanent public-sector employment contract. The successful candidate will be assigned to the Madeira Vocational Training Centre in Funchal.
The recruitment was announced under Notice No. 489/2026, following an order issued by the Regional Secretary for Education, Science and Technology on 11 September 2026. The application period is 10 working days from the notice’s publication in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (JORAM). Applicants may have a permanent or fixed-term public-sector employment relationship, or no existing public-sector employment relationship.
A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification is required in one of the fields listed in the notice: Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Automation and Control Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Industrial Engineering and Management. A certificate of pedagogical competencies for trainers is not an admission requirement, although trainer activities are subject to the applicable legal requirements.
The duties include delivering technological training, preparing and assessing training activities, creating educational content, and providing technical support for the management of the facilities, equipment and resources used for training. The workplace is the Institute for Qualification’s headquarters, with assignment to the Madeira Vocational Training Centre at Estrada Comandante Camacho de Freitas in Funchal.
