Regional Government updates APRAM staff salaries and personnel chart
Two ordinances approved by the Regional Government add a new pay scale and update the personnel chart for workers of the Madeira Port Administration (APRAM).
The Regional Government of Madeira, through the Regional Secretariats of Economy and Finance, has published two ordinances that update the remuneration conditions and staff framework of APRAM - Administration of the Ports of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, S.A.
The measures, which take retroactive effect from January 1, 2026, aim to adjust the salary structure of the public company responsible for administering the ports, piers, and marinas of the Region.
Addition of a new pay scale
Ordinance No. 394/2026 adds pay scale number 26 to the base salary and shift allowance tables for two groups of APRAM workers:
- Workers of APRAM - Administration of the Ports of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, S.A.
- Pilotage technical personnel
The annex to the ordinance details the new values for all pay scales (1 to 30) and their respective shift allowances, establishing the updated amounts for the different career development levels.
Amendment of the personnel chart
Ordinance No. 395/2026 amends the personnel chart for APRAM workers, as set out in Annex I of Ordinance No. 97/2001 of August 29, by assigning one additional pay scale.
The new chart, published in the annex, defines the career structure, working hours, and development levels for the various professional groups within the company, including:
- Advisor/Legal Consultant/Senior Technician
- Technician
- Foreman
- Local Traffic Master
- Maritime Drivers (I, II and III)
- Technical Inspector of Works and Port Equipment
- Computer Operator
- Treasurer
- IT Support Technician
- Port Equipment Operator
- Operations Agent
- Skilled Worker (various specialties)
- Administrative Technician
- Auxiliary Technician
- Warehouse Keeper
- Assistant Maritime Driver
- Seaman
- Dock Operator
- Light Vehicle Driver
- Service Assistant
- Cleaning Labourer
- Port Guard
- Telephone Operator-Receptionist
- Cleaning Assistant
The ordinances were consulted with the representative trade union for the sector and are based on the Staff Statute of Port Administrations.
