The Regional Roads Directorate (DRE) now has a new internal organization aimed at optimizing the management of the regional road network.
Ordinance no. 267/2026 has been published, approving the new core structure of the Regional Roads Directorate (DRE). This diploma follows Regional Regulatory Decree no. 3/2026/M, which defined the mission and responsibilities of this body.
The DRE is now organized into the following six core organic units:
In addition to the core structure, the diploma sets the maximum number of flexible organic units at seven. The ordinance also establishes that the current service commissions of the Service Directors will transition to the corresponding new organic units. With the entry into force of this diploma, Ordinance no. 44/2017 of February 16, and its subsequent amendments, are revoked.
Expropriations of land necessary for slope stabilization works on sections of ER105 in Paul da Serra and ER222 in Santo Amaro have been authorized, aiming to increase road safety.
The company TECNOVIA - Madeira Sociedade de Empreitadas, S.A. has been awarded the contract to rebuild the maritime protection at the Seixal Wastewater Treatment Plant, for a contractual value of 2.96 million euros.
The reallocation and update of funding for the 'Chromatic Intervention' project in Paul do Mar, Calheta municipality, has been approved, up to a total of €854,959.62.
