Government invests 3.59 million euros in three regional road interventions
The Regional Government has authorized the distribution of budgetary charges for three rehabilitation and improvement projects on regional roads, totaling an investment of 3.59 million euros.
The Regional Government of Madeira, through Ordinance no. 281/2026, has authorized the distribution of budgetary charges for the contract procedure titled "Interventions on Regional Roads". The total investment, which spans the 2026 and 2027 fiscal years, covers three distinct lots:
- Lot 1: Construction of sidewalks on ER204 - Assomada/Tendeira, with a total value of €240,000.00.
- Lot 2: Restoration of minimum safety and operational conditions on ER211 following the storm of December 25, 2020 - Passo da Areia, with a total value of €1,550,000.00.
- Lot 3: Rehabilitation of ER217 - São Roque do Faial, with a total value of €3,800,000.00.
The charges are staggered to allow for the execution of the works throughout the 2026-2027 biennium, with VAT at the current legal rate added to the mentioned values. The funds for the year 2027 will be included in the respective regional budget.
