Government authorizes 4.4 million euros for construction of 22 homes in Camacha
Ordinance No. 541/2026 authorizes the distribution of 4.49 million euros for the design and construction of 22 homes, infrastructure, and outdoor areas in the Nogueira neighborhood of Camacha.
The Regional Government of Madeira, through the regional secretariats of Finance and Equipment and Infrastructure, has authorized the distribution of multi-year budgetary charges for a new housing project in the parish of Camacha, municipality of Santa Cruz.
Ordinance No. 541/2026 refers to the contract "EMP-C/1/2026 - Design and construction of 22 homes, infrastructure, and outdoor areas in the Nogueira neighborhood, Camacha, in the municipality of Santa Cruz." The maximum authorized amount is €5,491,356.00 (five million, four hundred and ninety-one thousand, three hundred and fifty-six euros).
The charges will be distributed over several years, according to the following schedule:
- Economic Year 2026: €0.00
- Economic Year 2027: €2,130,873.72
- Economic Year 2028: €3,095,060.57
- Economic Year 2029: €265,421.71
The document establishes that the amount fixed for each year may be increased by the balance ascertained in the preceding year. The amounts required for the years 2027, 2028, and 2029 will be included in the budget proposals of IHM - Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira, EPERAM. The mentioned amounts are exclusive of VAT at the applicable legal rate.
The ordinance came into force immediately after its signing on September 23, 2026, by the regional secretaries Duarte Nuno Nunes de Freitas (Finance) and Pedro Alexandre Fagundes de Freitas Rodrigues (Equipment and Infrastructure).
