Regional Government defines new rules for internship supervisors and master's scholarships
Ordinance no. 269/2026 establishes the amounts and conditions for the remuneration supplement for supervisors and scholarships for students in supervised teaching practice.
The Regional Government of Madeira has published Ordinance no. 269/2026, which regulates the support regime for cooperating supervisors and master's students carrying out supervised teaching practice in the regional public network. This measure aims to adapt the regional reality to the changes introduced by the legal regime for professional teaching qualification.
Supplement for Cooperating Supervisors
Teachers who perform supervisory duties and do not opt for a reduction in their teaching load will be entitled to a monthly remuneration supplement, paid for up to a maximum of ten months:
- €100.80 per month: for supervising up to two students.
- €107.10 per month: for supervising three or four students.
Scholarships for Students
Students attending the last two semesters of their master's degree, corresponding to the supervised teaching practice, will be entitled to a monthly scholarship of €360.00, also up to a limit of ten months. Payment is conditional upon the presentation of proof of attendance, approval in the curricular unit, IBAN, and the absence of tax or Social Security debts.
The regulation takes effect at the beginning of the 2025/2026 school year, with Dispatch no. 13/2011 being revoked as of September 1, 2026.
