The Government authorized APRAM to sign a debt settlement agreement with CLCM, ending long-standing disputes over fees at the Caniçal maritime fuel terminal.
The Regional Government has authorized the Administration of Ports of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, S.A. (APRAM) to sign a debt settlement agreement with the Madeira Fuel Logistics Company, S.A. (CLCM). The measure, approved by Regional Government Council Resolution No. 745/2026, aims to resolve legal disputes that have dragged on for years.
The debts stem from fees owed under the Administrative Concession Contract for the Operation of a Maritime Fuel Terminal in Caniçal, signed in 2005. The disputes involved administrative arbitration and judicial proceedings concerning the legality and quantification of fixed and variable fees.
After offsetting the amounts owed between the parties, including interest, the final amount owed by CLCM to APRAM amounts to €8,018,347.52. The consensual agreement aims to avoid the uncertainty and costs associated with continuing the judicial and arbitration processes.
The resolution also authorizes APRAM to seek the termination of all pending disputes with CLCM regarding the concession contract.
The Regulation for the Allocation of Financial Support to the Fisheries and Aquaculture Sector has been approved, establishing incentive schemes for collective interest actions of fishing communities.
The Regional Government has approved a program contract providing a contribution of up to 50,000 euros to support the Madeira Aeroclub's ordinary operating expenses in 2026.
Madeira Parques Empresariais, S.A. has been authorized to sell Plot No. 17 of Subdivision III in the Porto Santo Business Park, with a book value exceeding 31 thousand euros.
