Projects Announced to Extend Two More Collective Agreements in Madeira
The Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth announced it is studying the extension of collective agreements for the chemical and accounting sectors, opening a public consultation period.
Notices for draft ordinances to extend two collective labour agreements have been published, opening a 10-day period for interested parties to submit reasoned opposition.
The drafts under analysis aim to extend to the Autonomous Region of Madeira the salary conditions and other terms established in sectoral agreements concluded at the national level. The measure intends to standardise minimum working conditions and balance competition between companies.
The announced draft ordinances are:
- Draft Ordinance for the Extension of the Collective Agreement between APQuímica - Portuguese Association of Chemistry, Petrochemistry and Refining and others and the Federation of Industry, Energy and Transport Unions - COFESINT and others (Salary and other amendments), published in the Labour and Employment Bulletin (BTE), No. 25, of July 8, 2026.
- Draft Ordinance for the Extension of the Collective Agreement between APECA - Portuguese Association of Accounting and Administration Companies and the Union of Workers in the Service Sector - SITESE (Salary and other amendments), published in BTE, No. 25, of July 8, 2026.
Interested parties, individuals or legal entities that may be affected by the issuance of the ordinances, have 10 working days from the publication of the notice to submit their opposition in writing.
