Three animal protection associations in Madeira will receive financial support from the Regional Government for 2026, aiming at animal welfare and public health.
As part of the policy for the protection and welfare of companion animals, the Regional Government of Madeira has approved the signing of program contracts with three animal protection associations. This support is intended to cover expenses for veterinary assistance, collection, housing, and awareness-raising actions.
The support is granted under Ordinance no. 463/2019, which establishes the annual financial support regime for these entities, recognizing their fundamental role in Madeiran society.
The Regional Government of Madeira has authorized a program contract with the BBPETS association, allocating 30,000 euros to support animal protection expenses in 2026.
