Government authorizes 4.4 million euro contract for SESARAM virology reagents

A joint ordinance from the regional Health and Finance departments authorizes the expenditure and allocates the costs of a four-year contract for the acquisition of virological diagnostic reagents.

Ordinance No. 388/2026 has been published, jointly signed by the Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection and the Regional Secretary for Finance, which authorizes the allocation of budgetary charges for a contract to acquire reagents for the Health Service.

The contract, with a duration of four years, is for the acquisition of Virology-Chemiluminescence reagents for the SESARAM, EPERAM Immuno-Hemotherapy Service. The total base price of the agreement is 4,293,816.90 euros, to which VAT at the legal rate of 23% is added.

The ordinance establishes the following multi-year breakdown of expenditure:

  • Economic Year 2026: 474,476.57 €
  • Economic Year 2027: 1,431,272.30 €
  • Economic Year 2028: 1,431,272.30 €
  • Economic Year 2029: 956,795.73 €

The document also allows the amount set for each year to be increased by the balance ascertained in the previous year, ensuring flexibility in budget execution.

The expenditure for 2026 is already included in the SESARAM, EPERAM budget, under funding source 389 and economic classification D.02.01.09. The charges for the following years will be considered in their respective annual budgets.

The Ordinance entered into force on the day following its publication.
