The Regional Government Council has updated the maximum fee for dental consultations covered by the Agreement with the Dental Surgeons Association, for the first time since 1997.
The Regional Government Council approved, through Resolution No. 1001/2026, the update of the maximum price for dental consultations carried out under Agreement No. 1/2025, of 26 November, signed between the Regional Health and Civil Protection Department and the Dental Surgeons Association.
According to the decree, the maximum consultation fee had not changed since the signing, in 1997, of the previous agreement between the Regional Department of Social and Parliamentary Affairs and the Professional Association of Dentists.
According to the Government, the update aims to guarantee the quality, sustainability and continuity of services, benefiting users of the Regional Health Service and professionals. The resolution enters into force on the day after its publication and takes effect on the first day of the following month.
SESARAM will keep the Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça outpatient clinic in premises leased from CPE - Companhia de Parques de Estacionamento, S.A., from 2027 to 2030. The total rent for the three years will be 381,471.48 euros, exempt from VAT.
A new agreement allows patients from the Regional Health Service to be referred to private providers for fine-needle aspiration biopsies of thyroid nodules and the related analyses. The examinations are paid for by IASAÚDE and must not incur any charges for patients.
The Government Council approved the first amendment to the organisational structure of the Regional Secretariat for Health and Civil Protection. The change concerns Regional Regulatory Decree No. 17/2026/M of 21 September.
