An ordinance published today redefines the distribution of budgetary charges over the years for the construction of the New Funchal Hospital, with an allocation for 2026.
An ordinance has been published that makes a change and redistribution of the budgetary charges foreseen for one of the largest health projects in the Region.
Ordinance No. 359/2026, from the Regional Secretariat for Finance, amends the budgetary charges foreseen in Ordinance No. 321/2017, of September 1, for the "Construction of the New Funchal Hospital".

The ordinance specifies that the expenditure for 2026 is covered by a specific budget line of the Regional Secretariat for Finance. The measure enters into force on the day following its publication.
The Government Council authorized a modification to the supervision and coordination services contract for the HCUM construction, extending the execution period and approving an additional expenditure of nearly 3.5 million euros.
