The Government Council approved a proposal to amend the legislation establishing rules for the defence and protection of regional roads. The proposal will now be submitted to the Legislative Assembly of Madeira.
The Regional Government approved a draft Regional Legislative Decree providing for the fourth amendment to Regional Legislative Decree No. 15/93/M of 4 September, which establishes rules on the defence and protection of regional roads.
Resolution No. 931/2026 of the Regional Government Council, approved at a plenary meeting on 24 September, provides for the proposal to be submitted to the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of Madeira for approval. The resolution does not detail the proposed amendments or indicate their content.
Ordinance No. 553/2026 reallocates the costs of four road-cleaning service lots over four years. The contracts total €2,052,843.42, plus VAT at the applicable rate.
Six orders revise the annual allocation of costs for regional projects, including works at schools, Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital, the Seixal wastewater treatment plant and the Regional Archive. Works worth €142,172.75, plus VAT, have been ordered not to proceed under the first-phase tunnel contract for the Quebradas-Amparo link. The decision aims to coordinate this phase with the future connection to a section of the VR1 Link Tunnel.
