Madeira redistributes costs for six school, health, environment and culture projects
Six orders revise the annual allocation of costs for regional projects, including works at schools, Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital, the Seixal wastewater treatment plant and the Regional Archive. The stated total amounts range from 11,900 euros to more than 2.5 million euros, plus VAT at the applicable rate.
The Regional Government of Madeira has published six orders authorising or redistributing budget costs for public facilities projects. The decisions, signed by the regional secretaries for Finance and for Equipment and Infrastructure, allocate the amounts across different financial years; they do not change the total amounts stated for the procedures. VAT at the rate in force is added to these amounts.
Caniçal Primary School with Preschool and Nursery - conservation and rehabilitation:Order No. 546/2026 redistributes the costs for procedure No. 7/2026, with a total value of 960,213.20 euros: 153,856.95 euros in 2026 and 806,356.25 euros in 2027. The previous order was Order No. 365/2026, dated 28 July.
Seixal wastewater treatment plant - reconstruction of the sea defences - preparation of the project:Order No. 547/2026 allocates the costs for procedure No. 13/2024, totalling 35,850 euros: 32,265 euros in 2025, 1,075.50 euros in 2026, 1,254.75 euros in 2027 and 1,254.75 euros in 2028.
Madeira Regional Archive and Public Library - extension - preparation of the architectural project and coordination:Order No. 548/2026 redistributes the costs for procedure No. 20/2023, with a total value of 320,000 euros: 80,000 euros in 2023, 80,000 euros in 2024, zero euros in 2025 and 2026, 112,000 euros in 2027, 9,600 euros in 2028 and 19,200 euros in each of 2029 and 2030. The amended order is Order No. 3/2026, dated 7 January.
Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital - electrical installations, systems and communications projects:Order No. 549/2026 redistributes the costs for procedure No. 30/2022, totalling 11,900 euros: 6,800 euros in 2022, zero euros in 2023, 4,335 euros in 2024, zero euros in 2025, 459 euros in 2026 and 306 euros in 2027. The previous order was Order No. 52/2026, dated 18 February.
Bispo D. Manuel Ferreira Cabral Primary and Secondary School - rehabilitation of the pavilion and sports complex - A:Order No. 550/2026 redistributes the costs for procedure No. 41/2025, with a total value of 2,585,000.04 euros: zero euros in 2025, 620,822.09 euros in 2026 and 1,964,177.95 euros in 2027. The amended order is Order No. 306/2026, dated 10 July.
Porto Santo Local Health Unit - Phase 2 - A, and structural rehabilitation of the Old Pier and restoration of the Salinas Jetty in Vila Baleira, Porto Santo - works supervision and coordination services:Order No. 551/2026 redistributes the costs for procedure No. 49/2025 across two lots. Lot 1, concerning the Porto Santo Local Health Unit - Phase 2 - A - works supervision and coordination services, has a total value of 688,441.09 euros: zero euros in 2025, 110,328.24 euros in 2026, 297,406.56 euros in 2027, 211,862.20 euros in 2028, 10,326.61 euros in 2031, 20,653.23 euros in 2033 and 37,864.25 euros in 2038. Lot 2, concerning the structural rehabilitation of Porto Santo's Old Pier and restoration of the Salinas Jetty in Vila Baleira, Porto Santo - works supervision and coordination services, has a total value of 180,585 euros: zero euros in 2025, 30,097.50 euros in 2026, 120,390 euros in 2027 and 30,097.50 euros in 2028. The amended order is Order No. 240/2026, dated 11 June.
The orders allow the amounts allocated for each year to be increased by any balances carried forward from the previous year. Future allocations will be included in the respective regional budget proposals, as set out in each instrument.
