The structural rehabilitation and recovery contract in Porto Santo has been awarded to the Teixeira Duarte group for over 4.3 million euros.
The Regional Government Council has approved the awarding of the Structural Rehabilitation of Cais Velho and Recovery of the Pontao das Salinas contract, in the city of Vila Baleira, Porto Santo, through Regional Government Council Resolution no. 467/2026.
The work was awarded to the competing group consisting of the companies TEIXEIRA DUARTE ENGENHARIA E CONSTRUÇÕES, S. A. and TEIXEIRA DUARTE - MADEIRA S.A., for the contract value of €4,320,999.98, plus VAT. The execution period stipulated for the completion of the work is 540 days.
The management of the contract execution was delegated to the Regional Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructure, while the supervision and acts related to the execution phase were assigned to the Regional Director of Social Equipment and Conservation.
The Government Council approved revised purchase values for two housing projects, totaling over 10 million euros, due to increased construction costs.
Ordinance No. 403/2026 authorizes the allocation of 2,160,500 euros for the 'ER 120 - Ribeiro Cochino/Calheta' construction project, with staggered payments until 2027.
