Machico Forum to Receive Investment of Up to €1.42 Million
The Region will contribute to investment costs incurred by SMD - Sociedade Metropolitana de Desenvolvimento, S.A., for the project to revitalise the Machico Forum’s infrastructure and facilities. The maximum grant of €1,422,693 will be allocated between 2026 and 2028.
The Regional Government has authorised the allocation of expenditure under a programme contract with SMD - Sociedade Metropolitana de Desenvolvimento, S.A., to contribute to investment costs for PIDDAR project no. 52749 - Revitalisation of Infrastructure and Facilities - Machico Forum.
Ordinance no. 582/2026 sets the maximum total grant at €1,422,693. The amount is not subject to VAT and will be allocated as follows:
- 2026: up to €90,000;
- 2027: up to €457,043;
- 2028: up to €875,650.
The annual amounts may be increased by any balances recorded in the previous year. The 2026 allocation is covered by the budget of the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure, while funding for the following two years will be included in their respective budgets.
