The Regional Government has authorized the purchase of a plot of land necessary for the canalization work of Ribeira do Faial.
Under Regional Government Council Resolution no. 495/2026, the Regional Government has authorized the acquisition, through private law, of land plot no. 5, necessary for the project "Canalization of Ribeira do Faial including Construction of Access to the Mouth".
The property, belonging to Hugo Filipe Vieira Baptista and Nicole Barcelos Caetano, will be acquired for a total value of 2,774.32 euros, in accordance with Article 11 of the Expropriations Code.
The Government Council approved revised purchase values for two housing projects, totaling over 10 million euros, due to increased construction costs.
Ordinance No. 403/2026 authorizes the allocation of 2,160,500 euros for the 'ER 120 - Ribeiro Cochino/Calheta' construction project, with staggered payments until 2027.
EMACOM has requested a 25-year concession to use water resources and install a submarine cable at Ribeiro Salgado Beach in Porto Santo.
