AFAVIAS - ENGENHARIA E CONSTRUÇÕES S.A. has won the contract to stabilise the Longueira slope on the ER110. The works are scheduled to take 180 days, and the contract price is subject to VAT at the applicable rate.
The Regional Government has awarded AFAVIAS - ENGENHARIA E CONSTRUÇÕES S.A. Lot 3 - ER110 Longueira Slope, as part of the “Slope Stabilisation on Regional Roads” project. The contract price is €1,440,000, plus VAT at the applicable rate, and the works are scheduled to take 180 days.
Regional Government Council Resolution No. 942/2026 also approves the draft works contract. The Regional Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructure is authorised to sign the contract and handle the necessary formalities, including preparing the file for submission to the Court of Auditors for prior review. The Regional Director of Roads will be responsible for carrying out the actions related to the execution phase.
The expenditure planned for 2026 is covered by the Budget of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, in accordance with Ordinance No. 539/2026, published in JORAM, Series I, No. 171, on 23 September 2026.
A new order revises the annual allocation of costs under the contract to supervise and coordinate construction of Madeira Central Hospital, keeping the total at €13,206,950.41. Payments are scheduled from 2020 to 2040, plus VAT at the applicable rate.
The Regional Government has extended until 31 May 2027 the transitional rules allowing certain ships to berth at the north and south quays of Caniçal Port. The measure will be reviewed when the technical studies are complete, or earlier if the necessary conditions are met.
The Region has redistributed the costs of the procedure to rebuild coastal protection at the Seixal wastewater treatment plant over three years. The total is €2.96 million, plus VAT.
