Eng. João Avelino Gonçalves Baptista has been appointed as the representative of the Autonomous Region of Madeira on the Technical Monitoring Commission for the Recognition of Producer Organisations.
The Regional Government Council has appointed Eng. João Avelino Gonçalves Baptista, a Senior Technician integrated into the Centralised Human Resources Management System of the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries, as the representative of the Autonomous Region of Madeira on the Technical Monitoring Commission for the Recognition of Producer Organisations (CTAROP).
The appointment was made through Regional Government Council Resolution No. 820/2026, which repeals Resolution No. 836/2019. The CTAROP is a national body created by Ordinance No. 298/2019, with the objective of monitoring the functioning of the regime for recognising producer organisations and proposing improvements.
Madeira's participation in this commission ensures that the specificities of the regional agricultural sector are considered within the scope of national policies for the sector.
