The Region has authorised €263,898.6 in funding over six financial years for the sublease of Quinta Vila Passos in Funchal, which will house a public service. The expenditure will be covered by the budget of the Institute for Forests and Nature Conservation.
The Regional Government has authorised the allocation of costs under the non-residential sublease agreement for Quinta Vila Passos, a property at 6 Rua Alferes Veiga Pestana, in the parish of Santa Luzia, Funchal. The property, registered in the land registry under article 1143, is intended to house a public service.
The total authorised amount is €263,898.14, allocated across the following financial years:
The costs will be covered by the dedicated budget of the Institute for Forests and Nature Conservation, IP-RAM. The 2026 expenditure will be paid from the budget allocation specified in the order; amounts for subsequent years will be included in the organisation's respective budget proposals. The multi-year expenditure is registered under no. 20741.
The authorisation is set out in Order No. 579/2026 of 8 October, signed by the Regional Secretaries for Tourism, Environment and Culture, and for Finance. The order takes effect from 31 January 2026.
Pedro Gonçalves de Barros has been appointed head of the Territorial Monitoring and Landscape Division of the Regional Directorate for Territorial Planning. The one-year appointment takes effect on 1 October 2026.
