An amendment to the collective irrigation investment scheme requires beneficiaries to settle outstanding repayments of European funds or provide a guarantee. The order also sets a criterion concerning criminal convictions involving EAFRD and EAGF funds.
The Autonomous Region of Madeira has changed the eligibility criteria for beneficiaries of the collective irrigation investment intervention under Portugal’s Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy (PEPAC Portugal).
Order No. 577/2026 of 6 October amends Order No. 242/2026 of 11 June and adds requirements to Article 5, which sets out the eligibility criteria for beneficiaries.
The order enters into force on the day after its publication, but takes effect from 12 June 2026, the date on which Order No. 242/2026 began to take effect, without prejudice to Article 141 of the Code of Administrative Procedure.
The legislation was signed by the Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Fisheries, Nuno Dinarte de Gouveia Maciel, on 30 September 2026.
Renata Isabel Pão Rosário has been appointed on an interim basis to head the Public Procurement Division of the Office of the Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Fisheries. The appointment takes effect on 2 October 2026.
Rosa Marina de Castro da Silva has been appointed, on a three-year commission of service, director of the Human Resources Management Department at the Madeira Social Security Institute. The appointment takes effect on 12 October 2026.
The Regional Secretary has changed the arrangements for covering the chief of staff during absences or periods of unavailability. Powers will first pass to deputy Marco Paulo Lira Baptista and, if he is unavailable, to José Marco Cabral de Oliveira.
