Regional Government strengthens structure of Directorate for Communities and External Cooperation
Ordinance No. 357/2026 amends the structure of the Regional Directorate for Communities and External Cooperation, increasing the number of intermediate management positions to respond to the growing volume and complexity of work.
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved a change to the organic structure of the Regional Directorate for Communities and External Cooperation (DRCCE). The change, introduced by Ordinance No. 357/2026, aims to increase the maximum limit of flexible organic units within the service.
According to the decree, the significant evolution of the DRCCE's activity, both in workload volume and in technical and institutional complexity, made this revision necessary. The areas of immigration, migrant integration, and support for Madeiran communities abroad are mentioned as being particularly dynamic.
The specific change is made to the annex of Ordinance No. 710/2020, which establishes the core structure of the DRCCE. The new map of management positions now sets three positions for 2nd-degree intermediate management roles.
The stated objective is to allow for a more functional, efficient, and suitable internal organization for the tasks effectively pursued by the service. The decree entered into force the day after its publication, on July 23, 2026.
