The Legislative Assembly of Madeira approved its report and management accounts for the 2024 financial year. The resolution was adopted at a plenary session on 14 October 2026.
The Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of Madeira approved the report and management accounts for the 2024 financial year through Resolution of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of Madeira No. 29/2026/M of 20 October.
The approval was adopted at a plenary session held on 14 October 2026. The resolution cites point b) of Article 6 and Article 73 of Regional Legislative Decree No. 24/89/M of 7 September, as currently worded, as well as paragraph 3 of Article 5 of Law No. 98/97 of 26 August, also as currently worded.
The act formally approves the Assembly's 2024 financial statements. The resolution was signed by the President of the Legislative Assembly, Rubina Maria Branco Leal Vargas.
The Regional Roads Directorate will now have heads for its Technical Coordination and Specialties, Conservation and Maintenance, and Payroll Processing and Management divisions. The three appointments are for one-year service commissions and take effect on 12 October 2026.
Laura Sofia Jesus Freitas has been appointed to lead the Division of Asset Management, Monitoring and Reporting at the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth. Her three-year appointment takes effect on 15 October 2026.
The €60,000 cost of legal representation for the Region and legal support in a court case has been rescheduled again. The order allocates €52,250 to 2027, alongside amounts assigned to 2016 and 2023.
