Regional Youth Directorate appoints four new managers

The Regional Youth Directorate will have four new managers, appointed on one-year service commissions. The appointments, made by the Regional Secretary for Inclusion, Labour and Youth, take effect on 1 November 2026.

• Óscar Solano Gouveia Barreto Faria was appointed Director of Planning, Innovation and Communication Services, an intermediate management position of the 1st degree. He holds a degree in Computer Systems Engineering and is an IT specialist on the staff of the Regional Directorate of Informatics. The appointment is set out in Order No. 422/2026.
• Cristina José Nunes Olival Castro was appointed Head of the Youth Programmes Division, an intermediate management position of the 2nd degree. She holds a degree in Social Work and is a senior officer on the staff of the Madeira Employment Institute, IP-RAM. The appointment is set out in Order No. 423/2026.
• Hélder José Gomes Jardim was appointed Head of the Administration and Management Division, an intermediate management position of the 2nd degree. He holds a degree in Social Sciences - Political and Administrative Science and is a senior officer on the staff of the Regional Directorate of Culture. The appointment is set out in Order No. 424/2026.
• Lúcia Maria Olim Gomes de Mendonça was appointed Head of the Human Resources Division, an intermediate management position of the 2nd degree. She holds a degree in Classical Languages and Literature and is a senior officer on the staff of the Regional Youth Directorate. The appointment is set out in Order No. 425/2026.

The orders state that the positions were vacant and that the appointments are intended to ensure the operation of the respective organisational units. The appointments are covered by the budget allocation for the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth, under the economic classifications specified in each order.
