Four ordinances published in the Official Journal extend the benefits of collective agreements to non-unionized workers in the insurance, publishing, and maritime transport sectors.
The Regional Government of Madeira, through the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth, has published four extension ordinances that broaden the scope of application of collective labour agreements to more workers in the Region. These measures aim to standardise minimum working conditions and level the playing field for companies within the same sectors.
The ordinances, which come into force the day after their publication, extend the agreements, including wage scales and pecuniary clauses, to workers who, while performing the same functions, were not covered because they were members of non-signatory unions or worked for entities not affiliated with the employer associations that signed the agreements.

The draft ordinances were previously published for public consultation, with no opposition raised.
The Regional Government announced its intention to extend the collective agreement of the transport company CARRISTUR, opening a 10-day period for objections.
The transport company CARRISTUR and the trade union federation FECTRANS have signed the second revision of the company agreement, which includes a salary increase retroactive to January.
A correction to the CARRISTUR company agreement has been published to rectify an inaccuracy in the original text.
