The Casa Lar dos Afetos project, in Santo António, will see an increase in capacity and a total financial reinforcement of 2.4 million euros.
The Regional Government of Madeira, through Ordinance no. 294/2026, has authorized the reinforcement of investment in project 3747 - Casa Lar dos Afetos (CLA), contracted with the Casa do Povo de Santo António. The project, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), aims to build a Residential Structure for Elderly People (ERPI) and a Day Center.
Due to a more efficient resizing of the spaces, the ERPI's capacity has increased from 20 to 25 places, while maintaining the 10 places in the Day Center. This adjustment implies an increase in the project's total amount to €2,467,455.85.

The Regional Secretariat for Health and Civil Protection approved the internal redistribution of 420,000 euros in financial support to the Madeira Volunteer Firefighters Humanitarian Association across three support programmes.
The Parish Church Factory of Prazeres will receive a financial contribution of 20,000 euros to ensure the normal operation of the Prazeres Educational Farm in 2026.
The total budget for the construction and equipping of an elderly care home managed by the 'September 4, 1862' Mutual Aid Association has been increased to over 4.2 million euros.
