Regional Government allocates 65,000 euros for tourism promotion and elderly social support
The Regional Government of Madeira has authorized the distribution of funds for the development of tourism animation and the financing of day centers for the elderly.
The Regional Government of Madeira has published two ordinances aimed at supporting the cultural sector and social response in the Region:
- AFERAM - Folklore and Ethnography Association of the Autonomous Region of Madeira: Through Ordinance no. 188/2026, the distribution of budgetary burdens totaling €65,000.00 was authorized for a program contract for development and cooperation in the scope of tourism promotion and animation. The amount will be divided between the fiscal years of 2026 (€56,030.00) and 2027 (€8,970.00).
- Casa do Povo de São Roque: Through Ordinance no. 189/2026, the Social Security Institute of Madeira, IP-RAM, was authorized to assume costs of €607,680.50 between 2026 and 2028 for the financing of the Day Center social response for the elderly, with effects reported as of October 1, 2025.
