Through Resolution No. 281/2026, the Regional Government Council granted public praise to the Funchal Mountain Club. The recognition highlights the exemplary organization of the 17th edition of the MIUT - Madeira Island Ultra Trail 2026, which took place between April 22 and 26.
The Government emphasizes the positive impact of the event, which featured over 3,400 athletes from 72 nationalities, reinforcing Madeira's international projection as a destination of excellence for active tourism and nature sports. The praise recognizes the professionalism, technical rigor, and the club's contribution to sustainability and the local economy.
