Maria Anália Aguiar Teixeira, a nurse at SESARAM, has been granted scholarship status to pursue a master's degree in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing until March 2027.
The Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, Micaela Cristina Fonseca de Freitas, has granted scholarship status to a worker at the Madeira Autonomous Region Health Service (SESARAM, EPERAM). The measure aims to allow the professional's specialization, with benefits for the public health service.
The beneficiary is Maria Anália Aguiar Teixeira, a nurse integrated into the Special Nursing Career, who is attending the Master's Degree Course in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing at the Escola Superior de Enfermagem S. José de Cluny.
The regime, established by Order No. 281/2026, is valid from its publication until March 10, 2027. During this period, the worker will be on temporary partial leave from her duties, in accordance with her hierarchical superiors.
Under the terms of the order, the nurse retains the right to her remuneration provided that absences do not exceed 30 days per year. For additional absences, justified within the scope of the master's degree, she will not receive a salary, but the service time counts for all legal purposes.
Successful completion of the course is mandatory. After the training, the professional undertakes to resume her duties at SESARAM and to maintain her employment contract for a period equal to twice the duration of the paid leave. Failure to pass or withdrawal from the course implies the reimbursement of the funds received.
Ordinance No. 312/2026 redefines the payment calendar for the operational rental contract of light passenger vehicles for the regional health service.
Medical prescriptions issued from July 1, exclusively for flu vaccines, are valid until December 31, 2026.
Three ordinances approved by the Madeira Regional Government increase the overall amount of programme-contracts with continuing care institutions, adjusting the values to the revised daily rate per user.
