Two contracts within the Integrated Continuing Care Network have been updated, reflecting an increase in the daily rate paid by the State and protecting users from retroactive costs.
The Regional Government Council authorized the financial update of two program contracts with institutions that are part of the Integrated Continuing Care Network (REDE), in the Long-Term Care and Maintenance Unit (ULDM) typology. The changes, which total over 4.4 million euros, result from the extraordinary update of the daily rate paid by the State, decreed in December 2025.
The decisions were made through two resolutions:
These changes are a direct consequence of Ordinance No. 865/2025, of December 30, which set the new daily rate per user at €88.10, retroactive to August 1, 2025. To protect users, the Government determined that any additional charges resulting from this retroactive update will not be borne by them for the period between August 1, 2025 and the month following the signing of the contractual amendments. These additional costs will be fully assumed by the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth.
The Regional Secretariat for Health and Civil Protection reallocates budgetary charges under the Recovery and Resilience Plan for mental health units, with a net increase of 120,900 euros.
The Regional Health Secretariat authorized an increase of nearly 93,000 euros in the budget for the requalification of integrated long-term care units, raising the total amount to over 4.4 million euros.
The capacity of the elderly support establishment was formally increased after modernization works financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
