The Madeira Social Security Institute has authorized an investment of 3.5 million euros to support the Night Center and Specialized Day Center of the Funchal Community Development Association.
The Regional Government of Madeira, through the Regional Secretariat for Finance and the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labor and Youth, has authorized the Madeira Social Security Institute, IP-RAM (ISSM, IP-RAM) to assume multi-year commitments for the financing of social services for the elderly.
Under Ordinance No. 252/2026, a Cooperation Agreement was established, in the form of a Typical Agreement, with the Funchal Community Development Association. The total investment amounts to €3,568,008.00, distributed between 2026 and 2031, aimed at ensuring the operation of the Night Center and the Specialized Day Center.
The agreement, which takes effect from June 1, 2026, also includes the possibility of updating monthly contributions per user, currently set at €1,370.17 for the Night Center (20 users) and €1,068.78 for the Specialized Day Center (30 users).
Five regional secretariats have defined the global budget for the APOIAR+ program, which funds products like wheelchairs or prosthetics for people with disabilities or temporary incapacity.
The Regional Government has authorized the budgetary allocation for the acquisition of an integrated management solution for the Transport Service of the regional health service.
The Madeira Social Security Institute will sign an agreement with the Calheta Santa Casa da Misericórdia to fund 12 urgent-care beds in a residential facility for the elderly, with a monthly cost per user of €1,355.77.
