Three ordinances published in the JORAM reorganise the budget commitments for slope stabilisation, watercourse regularisation and the redesign of a road junction, with execution planned for 2026, 2027 and 2028.
The Official Gazette of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (JORAM) published, in its edition of 29 October 2026, three joint ordinances from the Regional Secretariat for Finance and the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure that amend or distribute the budget commitments of three infrastructure contracts.
The three ordinances are as follows:
In all cases, the amounts for each financial year may be increased by the balance recorded in the previous year, and VAT at the legal rate in force is added to the values. The ordinances take effect on the working day following their publication.
In practice, these measures define how the Regional Government will fund, year by year, the stabilisation of slopes, the regularisation of a watercourse and the redesign of a road junction, allowing the work planned under the respective contracts to continue.
The Regional Government has authorised expenditure of up to €13,175,000, plus VAT, for the design and construction of Machico Pavilion. The project will be put out to public tender, with a notice published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
The fourth amendment to the programme agreement between the Region and the Municipality of Machico sets the maximum contribution for the renovation and reconstruction of Porto da Cruz Cemetery at €5,141,706.98. The agreement remains in force until 31 December 2026.
The Region has approved the multi-year allocation of costs for the design and construction of the Machico Pavilion. The total amount is €4,175,000, plus VAT, with the largest share scheduled for 2029.
