The company TECNOVIA - Madeira Sociedade de Empreitadas, S.A. has been awarded the contract to rebuild the maritime protection at the Seixal Wastewater Treatment Plant, for a contractual value of 2.96 million euros.
The Regional Government has awarded, through Regional Government Council Resolution No. 765/2026, the contract for the "Seixal Wastewater Treatment Plant - Reconstruction of Maritime Protection".
The public tender was won by TECNOVIA - Madeira Sociedade de Empreitadas, S.A., whose proposal was considered the most advantageous. The work will be carried out for a contractual price of €2,960,000.00 (two million nine hundred and sixty thousand euros), plus VAT at the applicable legal rate. The established execution period is 450 days.
The granting of the public works contract was delegated to the Regional Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructure. The expenditure for 2026 has budgetary coverage provided for in the RAM Budget.
The public utility status has been declared for the expropriation of land needed for the regularization and channeling of the Ribeiro da Raiz stream in Curral das Freiras, aiming to mitigate flood risks.
The Regional Government authorized the purchase of seven land plots in Santo António for €4,380 to proceed with access and safety infrastructure in the high zone of the parish.
Ordinance No. 532/2026 redistributes the budgetary charges of the program-contract with the Municipality of Machico for the cemetery rehabilitation, for a total amount of 3.14 million euros.
