The Regional Government has approved the distribution of budgetary burdens for the construction of weirs in Serra d'Agua, a project valued at nearly 3 million euros.
Ordinance no. 253/2026 has been published, authorizing the distribution of budgetary burdens related to the procedure for the "CONSTRUCTION OF WEIRS ON RIBEIRA DA AMEIXIEIRA - SERRA D'AGUA - A" (process no. 17/2026). The work represents a total investment of 9,900,000.00 €, to which VAT at the current legal rate will be added.
This project, under the supervision of the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure, aims to strengthen water management in the Serra d'Agua area, with the amounts set for each financial year potentially being increased by the balance from the previous year.
The Government Council authorized the expropriation of land in Porto Santo for the construction of a roundabout on Regional Road 120, aiming to increase road safety.
The Regional Government has authorized a specific change to the addendum of the construction contract for the tunnels of the new road link.
