The Regional Government has awarded the operation and maintenance of the Via Rapida between Ribeira Brava and Machico Sul to the Ascendi and Horizon Infra Core consortium.
The Regional Government Council approved, through Resolution no. 491/2026, the awarding of operation and maintenance services for the Via Rapida between Ribeira Brava and Machico Sul. The contract was awarded to the competing consortium composed of the entities Ascendi IGI, Ascendi SAGO, and Horizon Infra Core, Unipessoal, Lda.

The financial charges will be covered by the Budget of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, as provided for in Ordinance no. 205/2026.
The Government Council approved revised purchase values for two housing projects, totaling over 10 million euros, due to increased construction costs.
Ordinance No. 403/2026 authorizes the allocation of 2,160,500 euros for the 'ER 120 - Ribeiro Cochino/Calheta' construction project, with staggered payments until 2027.
EMACOM has requested a 25-year concession to use water resources and install a submarine cable at Ribeiro Salgado Beach in Porto Santo.
