Government awards Via Rapida operation and maintenance for 46.3 million euros
The Regional Government has awarded the operation and maintenance of the Via Rapida between Ribeira Brava and Machico Sul to the Ascendi and Horizon Infra Core consortium.
The Regional Government Council approved, through Resolution no. 491/2026, the awarding of operation and maintenance services for the Via Rapida between Ribeira Brava and Machico Sul. The contract was awarded to the competing consortium composed of the entities Ascendi IGI, Ascendi SAGO, and Horizon Infra Core, Unipessoal, Lda.
The main details of the contract are:
- Contract price: 46,950,000.00 euros (plus VAT at the current legal rate).
- Execution period: 49 months, including any extensions.
- Granting authority: Regional Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructure.
The financial charges will be covered by the Budget of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, as provided for in Ordinance no. 205/2026.
