Government authorizes funding for two private schools

Two ordinances authorize the distribution of budget allocations for cooperation agreements with Colégio Salesianos do Funchal and Externato Júlio Dinis.

The Regional Government has authorized the distribution of budget allocations for the signing of cooperation contracts with two private educational establishments in Madeira. The measures, published on September 15, aim to support the operation and school social action of these institutions.

The agreements cover the economic years of 2026 (September to December) and 2027 (January to August). The details of each contract are as follows:

  • Colégio Salesianos - Funchal (holder: Fundação Salesianos) via Ordinance No. 530/2026:
    Total charges: €1,820,183.50
    - Operation: €1,749,279.00 (2026: €583,093.00; 2027: €1,166,186.00)
    - School Social Action: €70,904.50 (2026: €34,794.00; 2027: €36,110.50)
  • Externato Júlio Dinis (holder: Colégio J.G., Lda) via Ordinance No. 531/2026:
    Total charges: €140,747.89
    - Operation: €140,747.89 (2026: €46,915.96; 2027: €93,831.93)

The expenses will be borne by the budget of the Management and Planning Unit Office of the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology. The amount set for each economic year may be increased by the balance ascertained in the previous year.
