Seventeen ordinances have been published authorizing the signing of cooperation contracts with nurseries, kindergartens, and other educational establishments, ensuring their public funding for the years 2026 and 2027.
The Regional Government has authorized the signing of cooperation contracts with 17 private education and teaching establishments, ensuring their public funding for operation and social support. The ordinances, published on September 17, cover institutions ranging from nurseries to an international school and a dance school, with expenses to be covered by the budget of the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology.
The contracts, mostly 'simple contracts', have a duration extending until August 2027 and involve a significant financial commitment. Here is the complete list of establishments and their respective legal instruments:
These legal acts allow for the distribution of total budgetary charges across the economic years 2026 (September to December) and 2027 (January to August), covering operating line items and, in most cases, social support. Financial execution for 2026 is already guaranteed in the current budget.
Hélder José Vieira Miranda is assigned management and staff appraisal responsibilities at Torre Basic School for the 2nd and 3rd cycles. The order also ratifies actions taken under the delegation since 15 June 2026.
Etelvina Maria Fernandes Abreu moves from the teaching career to the senior technician category, remaining assigned to Santo Amaro Primary School. The transfer takes effect on 1 November 2026.
Santana Youth Centre will continue to serve as University of Madeira student accommodation until 13 December 2026. The extension is intended to provide housing during the transition to the new residence at Quinta de São Roque.
