IPSS receive 21 million euros in cooperation agreements for nurseries and primary education

The Regional Government Council Resolution No. 868/2026 authorises cooperation agreements with 21 Private Social Solidarity Institutions to support operational and school social action costs.

The Regional Government has approved overall financial support of €11,064,332.62 for 21 Private Social Solidarity Institutions (IPSS) that manage education and teaching establishments. The measure, authorised by Regional Government Council Resolution No. 868/2026, is implemented through the signing of cooperation agreements for the 2026/2027 school year, valid until 21 August 2027.

The objective is to contribute to the operational and educational social action costs (social support and/or school social action) of the institutions, which operate in the areas of nursery, kindergarten, and the 1st cycle of basic education.

The beneficiary entities and their respective amounts are:

  • Foundation of Our Lady of the Conception of Funchal - Nª Sª da Conceição Nursery via Resolution No. 868/2026: €188,555.54
  • Maria Eugénia de Canavial Children's Centre via Resolution No. 868/2026: €799,004.21
  • D. Maria Eugénia de Canavial School - Association via Resolution No. 868/2026: €653,125.82
  • Mutual Aid Foundation "4th of September 1862" - Quinta do Traquinas Nursery via Resolution No. 868/2026: €508,293.90
  • Association of the Patronage of Saint Peter - Nursery of the Association of the Patronage of St. Peter via Resolution No. 868/2026: €344,663.12
  • Maternal Aid of Funchal via Resolution No. 868/2026: €1,248,107.02
  • Social and Parish Centre of Santa Cecília - Câmara de Lobos via Resolution No. 868/2026: €508,444.49
  • Social and Parish Centre of Graça via Resolution No. 868/2026: €474,208.61
