A joint order from the regional secretariats of Education and Finance establishes annual amounts per class and per student for private schools with association, sponsorship, or cooperation contracts.
The Regional Secretariats for Education, Science and Technology and for Finance have published Joint Order No. 76/2026, which determines the financial support values for the 2025-2026 school year for private education and teaching establishments in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The order revokes five previous diplomas and consolidates all funds in force.

The order also defines monthly reference values for operational support for nurseries, kindergartens, and 1st cycle, which vary between €10 and €73 per child, with additional amounts for external catering. It also establishes a coefficient of 1.25 for co-participation in extracurricular activities in the 1st cycle under a full-time regime.
