Tânia Raquel Calafatinho Nicolau has been appointed to lead the Human Resources Division of the Madeira School of Hospitality and Tourism. Her three-year appointment takes effect on 1 October 2026.
Tânia Raquel Calafatinho Nicolau has been appointed head of the Human Resources Division of the Madeira School of Hospitality and Tourism, a second-tier middle-management position.
Order No. 409/2026 appoints her on a three-year fixed-term basis, with effect from 1 October 2026. Nicolau holds a degree in Social Sciences and is a senior officer on the staff of the Regional Directorate for School Administration. The order states that the appointment followed a selection procedure for the position.
Candidates admitted to recruitment competitions for operational assistant roles in Madeira’s public schools have been called to sit the exam on 24 October 2026. The venue and time are available on the Regional Directorate for School Administration website.
The Regional Directorate for European Affairs will monitor attendance and contract compliance for scholarship holders on the Estagiar na Europa - Madeira programme. Officials have also been appointed to oversee the Brussels internship and contract implementation.
António José de Carvalho Lucas will remain regional director of school administration, with his appointment renewed for three years from 20 November 2026.
