António José de Carvalho Lucas will continue as regional director of school administration after his appointment was renewed for a further three years.
Joint Order No. 92/2026, issued by the Presidency of the Regional Government and the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology, stipulates that the renewal takes effect on 20 November 2026. The director holds a master’s degree in School Administration and Organisation and has held the post since 2023.
Tânia Raquel Calafatinho Nicolau has been appointed to lead the Human Resources Division of the Madeira School of Hospitality and Tourism. Her three-year appointment takes effect on 1 October 2026.
Candidates admitted to recruitment competitions for operational assistant roles in Madeira’s public schools have been called to sit the exam on 24 October 2026. The venue and time are available on the Regional Directorate for School Administration website.
The Regional Directorate for European Affairs will monitor attendance and contract compliance for scholarship holders on the Estagiar na Europa - Madeira programme. Officials have also been appointed to oversee the Brussels internship and contract implementation.
