Funding for Madeira Digital Textbooks Study Rescheduled
The University of Madeira will receive 188,904 euros, under a new schedule, to monitor the implementation of the Madeira Autonomous Region's Digital Textbooks Project.
The Regional Government approved an amendment to the program contract with the University of Madeira for the research monitoring the implementation of the Madeira Autonomous Region's Digital Textbooks Project. The decision was made through Resolution of the Regional Government Council No. 784/2026.
The total amount remains at 188,904.00 euros, but its execution has been rescheduled for the following financial years:
- Financial year 2023: 105,284.00 €
- Financial year 2024: 0.00 €
- Financial year 2025: 0.00 €
- Financial year 2026: 31,753.17 €
- Financial year 2027: 51,866.83 €
The rescheduling is justified by the greater complexity of the evaluation process, which included the acquisition and transport of technological equipment, the increase in the sample size, the multiplicity of parameters under evaluation, and the establishment of partnerships with other governmental entities, such as SESARAM, to control variables that could cause "confounding bias".
The first addendum to the program contract was approved and will be executed by the Regional Secretary for Education, Science and Technology.
